Leading Establishment figures add to growing list of famous names hit by Ingenious film scheme tax ruling

Former Tory chief whip Andrew Mitchell - who was infamously involved in the \'Plebgate\' furore with police outside 10 Downing Street that led to his resignation - has been named as an investor in the Ingenious Media film scheme deemed as tax avoidance by HMRC.

A BBC Newsnight report on Wednesday 16 July named Mr Mitchell, along with other senior establishment figures as investors in the scheme, including Lord Waldegrave, the former chief secretary to the Treasury, and Lord Grade, the former chairman of the BBC.
