Law firm Macfarlanes has advised a consortium led by Canadian billionaire and owner of the Formula 1 team Racing Point Lawrence Stroll on a strategic investment in FTSE250 luxury British sports car manufacturer Aston Martin Lagonda.
The investment compromises a proposed placing of £182 million to the consortium and a major shareholders’ supported rights issue of £318 million to raise combined proceeds of £500 million. In connection with the investment, Mr Stroll will become chairman of Aston Martin.
