Mossack Fonseca 'pulls out of Jersey, other offshore centres'

Mossack Fonseca, the firm at the centre of the Panama Papers data leak, is understood to be closing its operations in several British offshore jurisdictions.

The Panama-based firm will exit Jersey, the Isle of Man and Gibraltar, according to a BBC news report. The company was quoted as saying that the leak was partly behind its decision to leave the islands.

More than ten million documents hacked from the firm have shed light on how the rich and powerful use tax havens to create offshore structures.

The company thanked staff at the three affected offices for their "loyal and sterling" ...
