The online scams that British people fall for the most, as well as the areas of the UK where scams are most common, has been revealed in a survey by Reboot Digital PR Agency.
It revealed £609.8 million was stolen through scams in the first half of 2022.
HMRC was the most common company scammers claimed to be from, with 16.9 percent doing so.
These scams were often in the form of tax rebate messages, offering a financial reward in exchange for financial details.
