New UK legislation for residential non-doms 'moving the goalposts'

The last 12 months have seen a number of developments for non doms in the UK as the government has introduced planned changes to both the residency test for them and remittance based charges they are liable for when residing in the country.

Speaking at IBC’s 101 Ideas for Private Tax Planning in London last week (26/06/2012),  Arabella Murphy, a partner at boutique private client law firm Maurice Turnor Gardner, said that “not all the changes have been positive for non-doms but broadly have been so.”
