OECD proposals on IHT are food for thought

Levelling up, paying for the pandemic, tackling social care once and for all, enhancing the attractiveness of the UK post-Brexit - are all conundrums that the Government is currently battling with. We know that some people will have to contribute more tax, and that all sectors of society believe that they are a special case and should be exempted or, conversely, receive extra cash support.

The one certainty is that change will happen. It is anticipated that change will not just mean increases in taxation, it will also mean targeting support and looking at the bigger picture and how the UK fits into the global community. There is ...
