OECD partners with Japan to open financial crime fighting academy

A new centre of the OECD’s International Academy for Tax Crime Investigation has been opened in Wako, Japan.

OECD secretary general Jose Angel Gurría and Japan's Minister of Finance Taro Aso signed the agreement at the G20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors’ meeting, establishing the OECD Asia-Pacific Academy for Tax and Financial Crime Investigation.

It will be based at the Wako Campus of the National Tax College, part of the National Tax Agency of Japan.
