Offshore law firm Ogier has appointed Sophie Peat to join its Cayman Islands intellectual property (IP) team as partner.

Ms Peat joins Ogier from HSM Group after seven years. She started as an attorney, then became senior associate and latterly partner.

Prior to that, she managed the IP portfolios with a focus on the EU and Asia as associate solicitor at King & Wood Mallesons.
