Over half of UK adults want IHT scrapped or cut - research

More than half (52 percent) of UK adults want to see inheritance tax (IHT) “scrapped or at least reduced”, new research from Handelsbanken Wealth & Asset Management showed.

The issue united men and women, almost all age groups, regions, and even political views, the study found.

There was some support for keeping IHT levels as they are, with 21 percent preferring the status quo, while 12 percent would support a rise in IHT.
