Pop star says tax levels not music to her ears

Rock stars have a history of complaining about the tax they pay, or getting into trouble for avoiding it.

The Beatles’ 1966 album Revolver opened with George Harrison’s Taxman, while one of The Rolling Stones’ most critically acclaimed albums, 1972’s Exile on Main Street, was recorded in France where they were tax exiles. Country music star Willie Nelson was hit by a $16.7 million in back taxes from the IRS in 1990.

Now current chart sensation Adele has become the latest pop star to complain about their taxation.
