Luxembourg has deferred the deadline for its company beneficial ownership register from 31 August to 30 November 2019. It is already far beyond the deadline set by Article 30 of the EU Fourth Anti-Money Laundering Directive (4AMLD), which required all EU Member States to implement central registers of beneficial ownership by June 2017.

Luxembourg was not the only EU member to be late, as 20 member states still did not have a register in place by June 2018, mostly due to problems in setting up their beneficial ownership...
