A quick look at what’s been going on in Europe…

Greece will not renew freezing orders if anti money laundering (AML) investigations last too long. The parliament has approved a government amendment allowing individuals suspected of money laundering and criminal fraud to overturn an asset freezing order (AFO) if they are not brought to trial within 18 months, media outlets have reported.

Judicial committees will be set up to review the hundreds of anti-money laundering (AML) investigations currently under way and select those in which continuation of the AFOs is justifiable under the new clause....
