Revenue Scotland reports increases in tax receipts

Scotland’s tax authority, Revenue Scotland, raised revenue of £707 million in land and buildings transaction tax (LBTT) and Scottish landfill tax (SLfT) for the Scottish consolidated fund during 2017-18, which was part of a £74 million (11.7 percent) increase in total tax revenue compared with the previous year. 

This increase was revealed in the tax authority’s 2017-18 annual report and financial statements.

Additionally, the total of LBTT and SLfT transferred to the Scottish consolidated fund since Revenue Scotland began operating also reached £1.8 billion by 31 March 2018.
