Richer parents more likely to demonstrate financial favouritism when passing down wealth

Parents with more wealth to pass on are more likely to split their assets unequally between their children, according to the latest research from wealth manager Netwealth.

The study, entitled Generation Game: Financial Tribes in Family Finance and produced with financial coach Emma Maslin, looked at attitudes and behaviours towards intergenerational wealth planning among parents with varying levels of investable assets.
