Marc A. Panucci has been named as a deputy chief accountant in the Securities and Exchange Commission’s Office of the Chief Accountant.

In his new role, Mr Panucci will lead the office’s professional practice group, involving understanding investor and audit committee perspectives as well as consulting with registrants and auditors on the application of internal control over financial reporting obligations, independence requirements and auditing standards.
