London-based international legal search and recruitment firm Fox Rodney has launched a specialist mergers division to service the increasing levels of merger activity in the UK legal sector.
The firm has seen substantial growth in law firm mergers in recent years and believes that this sector will continue to experience further expansion.
Brandon Ransley has been recruited by Fox Rodney to spearhead the growth of its mergers division. He has first-hand experience of leading law firm mergers and acquisitions from his roles as managing partner of Dentons UK (where he led the negotiations for a successful merger with Maclay Murray & Spens), and previously as managing partner of Howes Percival (where he was instrumental in the move of a 50-person team to Dentons UK).
Mr Ransley is highly experienced in the intricacies of mergers and is skilled at balancing the various factors required to achieve success, including with partnership engagement, managing team morale and ensuring client retention.
Working with Ransley is James Quick who is experienced at brokering law firm mergers for UK law firms with revenue under £100m, as well as advising on large team moves and international office openings.
The firm said that Mr Ransley’s mergers experience in both a small/medium regional law firm and also a larger City/global firm, together with Mr Quick’s merger, team move and recruitment experience, means that Fox Rodney is “fully equipped to offer the full spectrum of commercial advice on the key elements of any merger process”.
The new mergers division sits within Fox Rodney’s wider offering to the legal market which includes partner searches, associate searches, office openings and general counsel/in-house recruitment for financial services and corporates.
