Patricia Wass has been elected worldwide chair of STEP, the professional association for those advising families across generations. The appointment will take effect from 1 January 2017.

Ms Wass is a consultant with Foot Anstey in Plymouth, UK, heading its Court of Protection Team. A past-chair of the private client section committee of the Law Society of England & Wales, she specialises in mental capacity law and issues relating to elderly people, and is a Panel Deputy for the Office of the Public Guardian.
