Swiss tennis legend tops latest Forbes highest earning athletes list

Forbes has published its 2020 rankings for the world's highest-paid athletes with Roger Federer claiming top spot this year.

The Swiss tennis veteran earned US$106.3 million dollars in the last year with $100 million made from endorsements and the rest from tournament winnings.

In second place with earnings of $105 million was Portuguese footballer Cristiano Ronaldo ($60 million in salary and $45 million in sponsorship) whilst his rival to the crown of greatest current player - Argentine Lionel Messi - was just pipped to second spot having earned $104 million in 2019 ($72 million in salary and a further £32 million in ...
