The lockdown months have been something of a blur, and many of us will have been struck by the unpleasant realisation that we are rapidly approaching September. This is bad news for those of us who had booked summer holidays, but it is good news for cider makers, who will soon be able to discover whether a few bad apples have spoiled this year’s barrels.
And just as the arrival of Autumn will cast light on the quality of this year’s harvest, the economic uncertainty wrought by Covid-19, insofar as it will drive many to carefully examine their financial affairs, will expose the bad apples in the trust sector.
