Boutique UK law firm Maurice Turnor Gardner promoted two former eprivateclient Top 35 Under 35s to partner – with a third set to join the partnership in May 2021. Edward Burton – a Top 35 Under 35 in 2014 and 2015 - and Simon Goldring – A Top 35 Under 35 in 2018 and 2019 - have joined the partnership in the firm’s real estate and litigation teams respectively.
UK law firm Moore Barlow launched as a combined firm, following the merger between South East law firms Moore Blatch and Barlow Robbins. Moore Barlow has a combined turnover of almost £40 million and comprises 69 partners, 272 lawyers and legal professionals, and a total staff of nearly 500 across six UK offices (Guildford, London, Lymington, Richmond, Southampton, and Woking).
International law firm Taylor Wessing added to its private client team with the appointment of Murray North as a partner who joined the firm on 1 May 2020. Mr North is based in London and joined from Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner.
UK family lawyers at national law firm Irwin Mitchell had success in the High Court with a financial settlement for a bankrupt husband. Irwin Mitchell partner Nathaniel Groarke and solicitor Emma Bates in the firm’s Manchester family law team managed the husband’s case, who was declared bankrupt during the proceedings.

Mishcon de Reya set up a wholly owned subsidiary of its private advisory business in Singapore. MDR Mayfair – previously called Mayfair Private – will be led by Simon Michaels, an international wealth planning practitioner in Singapore and a 2010 eprivateclient Top 35 Under 35.
London law firm Payne Hicks Beach hired Martin Paisner CBE who joins the firm’s private client department as a partner. Mr Paisner is a lateral hire from Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner (BCLP) and follows the appointment of Jessica Henson as a partner from the same firm specialising in contentious trusts and estates.

UK accountancy firm Saffery Champness promoted four individuals to the firm’s partnership. The promotion of Claire Wills, Elizabeth Hartless and Richard Jameson took effect from 1 April and the promotion of Sinead McHugh was effective from 1 May.
UK national law firm Ashfords elected Louise Workman, a corporate partner and head of client services, as its new chief executive. The firm’s partnership voted for Ms Workman to become the first female CEO in the law firm’s history. Ms Workman, based at Ashfords’ head office in Exeter, joined the corporate team in 2010 and was appointed as head of client services in 2017.
