UK fintech investment drops by 57 percent in a year, new KPMG data shows

Total UK fintech investment dropped to $5.9 billion in the first half of 2023, down 57 percent from $13.8 billion in the same period in 2022, according to KPMG’s Pulse of Fintech report, a bi-annual report on fintech investment trends.

The firm said the sharp drop-off in fintech investment between H1 2022 and H1 2023 highlights the cloud of uncertainty permeating throughout the market which continues to wear on investor confidence.
