UK Prime Minister Liz Truss is set to bring in plans to cut stamp duty ahead of Friday’s “mini budget."
Stamp Duty Land Tax (SDLT) is a “bad tax” according to Jeremy Raj, national head of residential property at law firm Irwin Mitchell.
He said stamp duty “inhibits the market and is excessively complex and unfair." As a result, he claimed of the limited Government levers available “this is a good one to pull."
