A new commission has been set up to establish whether a UK wealth tax is “desirable and deliverable.”

Researchers from the London School of Economics, the University of Warwick, UK Economic and Social Research Council and CAGE have come together to examine the potential impact of introducing a wealth tax.

As the government looks to raise funds after the Covid-19 pandemic, a wealth tax is one option that will certainly be considered.
