UK property transactions decline but SDLT is still on rise, reveals Blick Rothenberg

Latest statistics from HMRC reveal that the number of UK property transactions is decreasing, but stamp duty land tax (SDLT) receipts are still rising with a £1.3 billion (11.55 percent) increase, taking the receipts to just over £13 billion in the last 12 months, research from accounting, tax and advisory practice Blick Rothenberg has found.
