US to designate cryptocurrency mixing as high-risk transaction

The US Treasury has proposed labelling cryptocurrency mixing service transactions as “primary money laundering concerns” (PMLC).

A cryptocurrency mixer service, also called a cryptocurrency tumbler, takes users’ cryptocurrency holdings and mixes it with that of other users, making it more difficult to track on the blockchain.
