The world's most philanthropic billionaires donate over $100 billion to charity

The ten most charitable billionaires have a combined net worth of $491.2 billion and have donated $109.7 billion, according to research by Comparethemarket.com.

The study also found that the third richest man in the world, Warren Buffett, is also the most charitable as he has donated more than 55 percent ($46.6 billion) of his wealth to charitable causes.

In 2010, along with Bill Gates, Mr Buffett created the Giving Pledge, which is a commitment made by wealthy people that they will donate half of their wealth to philanthropic causes, which has led Mr Buffet to donate over 55 percent of his wealth to charitable causes.<...
