£80 million property portfolio frozen pending court hearing

An Unexplained Wealth Orders (UWO) against a mansion on one of London's most exclusive roads is being challenged today in the High Court.

The UWO was granted in May 2019 as part of a case against three luxury London properties worth £80 million, which also include a £31 million apartment in Brompton.

The high-security mansion, which cannot be identified for legal reasons and is owned by companies based in tax havens, has been frozen ahead of today's court hearing.

Public mortgage documents show Nurali Aliyev, the grandson of Kazakhstan's former president, is the occupier of the home.
