Europe's largest asset manager Amundi surpassed the €2 trillion assets under management (AUM) mark in the final months of 2021; this was primarily due to their acquisition of Lyxor, which was completed in December 2021.
Adjusted net income for the final three months stood at €328 million, making Amundi's total net income for the year €1.3 billion, up 37 percent from 2020.
The French asset manager also reported net inflows of €65.6 billion from retail, joint ventures, and recovery of treasury products.
Retail investors accounted for €16.3 billion of Amundi's new money, with Spain and Italy making the most significant contributions.
Third-party distributors also brought in a figure of €10 billion for the asset manager.
Amundi's operations in Asia brought in a figure of €26 billion; the total AUM in Asia for 2021 stood at €369 billion, a 24 percent rise from the year before.
