£2 billion more to be raised if UHNWs donated to charities

If just 10 percent more of Britain’s super wealthy were as charitable as their peers, an extra £2 billion could be raised for UK philanthropic causes, says MP Rushanara Ali.

She is the chair of a new all-party parliamentary group (APPG) on philanthropy launched this week, which aims to encourage philanthropy and discuss the role of modern philanthropy and social investment in the UK.
