New research from Hargreaves Lansdown has revealed that two in five people are planning to rely on an inheritance to pay for their retirement.

More than one in four people (29 percent) expect to receive or have already received an inheritance.

Those that are relying on an inheritance in the years before retirement (55-64) was at 45 percent.
