Aon has made two senior appointments to its UK private client division, with Nick Gavin-Powell becoming head of private clients, while James McDowell takes up the role of head of fine art.

Mr Gavin-Powell joins from seven years at Howden Group, a specialist insurance broker, where he was most recently divisional director for its private office.
