Barclays Wealth research finds that cost of living could lead to early inheritance gifting

The cost-of-living crisis could lead to early inheritance giving, according to research from Barclays Wealth.

The Bank of England has warned inflation could top 13 percent by the end of 2022, meaning 37 percent of parents of 40-year-old millennials anticipated gifting inheritance this year to counter the immediate living costs.

This is opposed to bigger purchases such as property.
