Following yesterday’s report that accountancy firm BDO has confirmed that the firms are in “advanced merger discussions to create a market-leading firm” with Moore Stephens in the UK.

Both firms’ partners have voted in favour, subject to final contracts. 

The new firm aims to be the leader in advising the UK’s entrepreneurial mid-sized businesses but will also look to challenge its larger competitors for more complex audit, tax and advisory work.
