Chinese HNWs head to UK amidst US visa backlog

Delays in processing wealthy investor visas in the US has led to a hike in the number of Chinese millionaires heading to the UK instead.

The number of Chinese applying to live in the UK on Tier 1 investor visas rose nearly a third in the year to 30 September 2019, to 202, up from 153 the prior year.

Analysis of the Tier 1 figures was carried out by Growthdeck, a UK private equity firm.
