Ex-F1 supremo in £1 billion tax probe - report

The former boss of Formula 1, Bernie Ecclestone, has been quizzed at a London police station as part of a £1 billion tax investigation, The Sun newspaper has reported.

The investigation is centred around the Liechtenstein-based Bambino family trust that Mr Ecclestone created to provide for his family in the mid-1990s as the ex-F1 supremo reduced his stake in the sport prior to being ousted in 2017 by the sport\'s new owners, Liberty Media.

The Sun reported that as part of the probe Mr Ecclestone\'s daughter, Tamara, was also questioned by HMRC inspectors in December.
