“Globalisation is over. We need to get over it,” Michael O’Sullivan, author of The Levelling, warned the audience at eprivateclient’s Annual Law Dinner on 12/11/19.

“If I’d come here two years ago and told you globalisation was coming to an end you scarcely would’ve believed me, but every day now we are reminded that the old order is falling about,” he explained.

Brexit was the “first rupture” in the system, followed by the election of Donald Trump and in recent weeks we’ve had a “pandemic of protests” across the world, including in Libya, Chile, Bolivia and Hong Kong.
