Inheritance tax (IHT) receipts from April to November 2022 were £4.8 billion.
This is an increase of £0.6 billion compared to the same period a year earlier.
This follows Chancellor Jeremy Hunt’s announcement in the Autumn Statement to freeze the IHT threshold of £325,000 until 2027/28.
