Over two thirds (68 percent) of adults under 50 earning over £50,000 do not have a valid will, according to law firm Collyer Bristow
The firm has published a report entitled ‘An Age of Apathy: Changing the conversation around wills,’ which revealed that while 82 percent believe that having a will is either fairly or very important, only 31 percent have one in place.
A variety of reasons were given for not creating a will, including: lack of time (25 percent), believing they’re too young to worry about it (17 percent), and not believing they have enough assets for a will (17 percent).
