Wife remains in loveless marriage as Supreme Court rejects divorce bid - industry reaction

The Supreme Court has unanimously dismissed an appeal from Tini Owens to divorce her husband, Hugh Owens, which means she must remain married until 2020. Lord Wilson said the case was dismissed "with reluctance" and that it is up to Parliament to change the laws.

Family lawyers have reacted to this ruling, including Simon Beccle, Mrs Owens' solicitor and partner at Payne Hicks Beach.
