The parent of Arbuthnot Latham has appointed famed corporate lawyer Nigel Boardman as a non-executive director.

Mr Boardman joins Arbuthnot Banking Group with immediate effect. The company’s principal subsidiary is 186-year-old private bank Arbuthnot Latham, its other asset being a 15.5 percent shareholding in Secure Trust Bank.

Mr Boardman, 68, was a partner of Slaughter and May from 1982 until his retirement from the partnership on 30 April this year.
