BoE governor urges caution over crypto

The Bank of England (BoE) governor Andrew Bailey has told banks and other regulated financial firms that they should take caution when holding volatile cryptocurrency assets until regulators put new rules in place, according to media reports.

Speaking at a news conference, Mr Bailey stated that future rules for cryptocurrency assets would make sure that there is a balance of risk management with the need to support innovation and competition.
