London-based Brown Shipley has recruited Amrendra Sinha to become head of direct equity, a newly created position within its investment office.

He reports to Toby Vaughan, Brown Shipley’s chief investment officer (CIO), another recent arrival at the firm.

Brown Shipley says that Mr Sinha’s appointment will enhance its investment capabilities as the bank develops a direct equity proposition for clients.

Mr Sinha has over 18 years’ experience across institutional asset management, wealth management and the hedge fund sector.
