The Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI) has appointed Tracy Vegro OBE as chief executive.
Her role will begin on 5 September.
She replaces Simon Culhane, who has been chief executive since 2004.
Currently executive director, strategy and innovation at the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA), Ms Vegro is responsible for its corporate strategy and leads the innovation, regulatory and education policy and research & analysis teams.
