Kemi Badenoch, equalities minister and exchequer secretary to the Treasury, has attracted many plaudits since she entered the House of Commons as Member of Parliament for Saffron Walden in 2017.
It may be a surprise to learn, however, that Ms Badenoch is a Coutts alumnus. She worked for the London-based private bank from August 2008 to June 2015 as a systems analyst, eventually becoming an associate director, according to her LinkedIn profile.
