Covid-19 lockdown 'largest human experiment' ever - UBP

A Union Bancaire Privée (UBP) impact investing specialist has described Covid-19 as "the largest human experiment the world has even seen".

Rupert Welchman, who manages the Swiss private bank's Positive Impact Equity Fund said the lockdown period would generate "a wealth of data, from which far-reaching conclusions will be made".

Mr Welchman said the pandemic offered a "medium to long term positive" in terms of impact investing, presenting opportunities in terms of healthcare, vaccine research, remote care, video conferencing and the climate.
