Credit Suisse analyses hiring process to tackle gender gap

A programme director at Credit Suisse has described how data is used to help managers reach targets around gender diversity.

Credit Suisse signed the UK Government’s Women in Finance Charter in 2016, setting itself the goal of having 35 percent of its UK executive committee members and leadership composed of women by 2020, a goal it says it is on track to achieve.

Tracy Watkinson, a programme director and chief operating officer for the UK service company entity, said analysing gender-based data when it came to hiring, performance, and promotion, had helped “take the emotion out of the conversation”.
