Dame Helena Morrissey joins SJP as firm pronounces 'more to do' on diversity and inclusion

Well-known City figure Dame Helena Morrissey is set to join the board of St James’s Place in the New Year.

The board said her appointment took the proportion of women on its board to a third but that there was “more to do” when it came to diversity and inclusion at the firm.

Ms Morrissey, an author, activist and prominent fund manager, recently stepped down from her role as head of personal investing at Legal & General Investment Management. She had been rumoured to be in the running to be the next Governor of the Bank of England, but her appointment to SJP seems to quash the idea.
