Deutsche Bank Wealth Management has confirmed it is hiring a top private banker out of UBS – an appointment Deutsche’s UK chief executive Michael Morley said marks the next stage of the bank’s growth in London.

James Whittaker has worked for UBS Wealth Management for 14 years, latterly as the head of its ultra-high net worth (UHNW) client segment in the UK. Prior to this he was a private banker at Coutts.

He joins Deutsche Bank Wealth Management in October and will head the UK coverage, taking a seat on the Deutsche Bank UK international private bank executive committee. He also joins the board of Deutsche Bank UK...
