One of the wealth industry’s stalwarts, Richard Charnock, has decided to depart as the boss of the Abrdn discretionary management business.

What a shame, as he has a splendid pedigree dating well back to the time when the City was a much more cosy and relaxed place, and dreadful investment bankers were mostly kept in the closet.
