Ex-UBP banker arrested on 100m fraud – reports

A former Union Bancaire Privée (UBP) banker has been arrested on allegations that he defrauded clients of millions, according to press reports.

Inside Paradeplatz (in German) said Zurich prosecutors had detained a man who worked for UBP up until 2007, alongside one other person, on “various criminal charges”.

The news outlet reported that the people in question had allegedly embezzled more than CHF 100 million from banks including UBP, UBS, and Credit Suisse. After the suspect left UBP, they went to work ...
